ANNABELL DUKE DARK WAX
The desired effect when choosing chalk paint to upscale your furniture and give it that “shabby chic” look, in most cases is because there is almost no need to prepare your furniture first to achieve the chalky matt finish that is so desirable at the moment. However you have to protect the painted surface in order to make it more durable and long lasting. This is done by waxing your furniture after painting and then buffing but in doing this you lose the chalky matt finish.
Annabell Duke's unique blend of wax allows you to keep that matt finish and not buff up to a glossy shine.
Simply apply a thin layer of wax with a brush and allow to stand for 30 minutes (however we recommend you leave it for longer as we have found it cures better the longer it is left) then lightly buff until the cloth glides over the surface.
Perfectly compliments the colour pallet range of Annabell Duke chalk paints but can also be used on any painted surface. Wax will buff to a satin finish with vigorous buffing if so desired.
